An afternoon in a Cosmic Playground

During a recent school break, we visited the Arizona Science Center’s Cosmic Playground – an exhibit made of packing tape with tunnels, structures to climb on and slides to slide down. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon.

How wonderful that somebody would think of doing something like this – taking something as ordinary as packing tape and creating something so beautiful and fun.
According to one news article, more than 50 miles of packing tape was pieced together strip by strip to make the structures.

The space-inspired exhibit also included a Milky Way ball pit, an astronaut photo op and spinning chairs so you can spin like the planets.

Wouldn’t this be a great area to have at home?
